IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Delia "Deann"
Ann Briscoe
September 21, 1958 – August 27, 2023
Delia Ann (DeAnn) Briscoe, 64, of Denton, died Sunday, August 27, 2023, at her home in Denton after a six-year battle with cancer.
DeAnn was born on September 21, 1958, in Hereford, Texas, to Bobby George and Delia Ann (Hood) Benton. DeAnn attended Texas Woman's University, where she earned her bachelor of science degree in Nursing in 1982 and served the nursing profession for 41 years. She married Brian Edward Briscoe on January 6, 1979, and was a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother.
After earning her degree from TWU, DeAnn began her profession serving on the medical surgical floor at Irving Community Hospital. DeAnn's calling, however, was home health care. During four decades of serving in one of the most demanding professions, she filled roles from Senior Director of Clinical Education to Compliance Manager. She handled various duties related to education and training. When she was not serving others with her medical skills, she brought beauty into the world through art and design. She attended art school and ceramic classes, renovated homes and built furniture, wallpapered rooms, and landscaped yards. She was a woman of intelligence, kindness, and creativity.
DeAnn is survived by her husband, Brian; two daughters, Emily McBroom and her husband, Jesse; and Erin Newton and her husband, Cameron. Six grandchildren - Evelyn, Otto, Jack, and Charlie Newton; and Olivia and Jacob McBroom. She is also survived by her parents, Bob and Delia (Dede) Benton; and her brothers Bill and his wife, Sue; and John and his wife, Kathy, and many other cherished family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Mulkey-Bowes-Montgomery Funeral Home (705 N. Locust, Denton, TX).
