Debra Gail (Buckalew) Phillips went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 19, 2009 after fighting a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer. She was born May 8, 1952 in Charleston, WV to Orlen and Genevieve Buckalew. Debra was a generous loving woman who felt that being a blessing was the greatest gift in life. She is survived by her husband, James M. Phillips, Jr.; children, Tony Taylor, Julia Sandstedt, Shelley Powell, James Phillips III, Kim Phillips; mother, Genevieve Buckalew; sister, Rita Morrow; brothers, Stewart and Buck Buckalew; she is also survived by wonderful grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a wonderfully loving family.
