Deborah Anne Ray, age 57, of The Colony, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 28, 1949 in Winnsboro, Texas to L.J. Turner and Miriam Dorothy Watkins Turner. Deborah married John Ray on December 5, 1944 in Mesquite. She was a member of Northview Baptist Church in Lewisville and was a former leader in the Bible Study Fellowship. Deborah was a teacher at Vickery Elementary School in Lewisville.

She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Michelle Ray of Dallas; son, Michael Ray and his wife, Carolyn of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her mother, Dorothy Thompson of Kaufman; her sister, Cindy Gayler of Kaufman, Texas. Deborah was preceded in death by her father, L.J. Turner and by her step-father, Ernest Williams.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Northview Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery in Delta County. Reverend Kenneth Wells will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
