David Roy Roberson age 52 of Denton passed away Tuesday March 7, 2006 at his home after a long battle with Cancer. He was born June 22, 1953 in Plainview, Texas to James D. and Faye ( North ) Roberson. He married Camelia Maier July 29, 1994 in Denton, Texas. David enjoyed running, biking, hiking, sailing, fishing, traveling, and working with wood.
He was a Human Resources Representative for the University of North Texas for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife and son George Christian Roberson both of Denton. Daughter Sarah Nicole ( Nikki ) Roberson of Slaton, Texas. Mother Faye Roberson of Abilene, Texas. Sisters Brenda K. McKnight and Husband Dell of Abilene , Glenda F. Lyon and husband Lamar of White City , Alabama and Linda G. Ince and husband Marc of Amarillo, Texas. One Niece and 7 Nephews. He was preceded in death by his father James D. Roberson. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, colleagues and all who knew him.
Memorial service will be 10:30 am Friday March 10, 2006 at the Goolsby Chapel University of North Texas. The Rev. Lamar will officiate the service Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Denton Unit 3301 West Freeway Fort Worth, Texas 76107-5709.
