Obituary

David Pearson, 51, of Highland Village, Texas, ended a long courageous battle with cancer on July 9, 2009.  He is survived by his loving wife and faithful caregiver, Lezlie Fite Pearson, and his greatest treasures, Hunter Bennett Pearson, 16, and Mackenzie Caroline Pearson, 13, all of Highland Village. Other survivors include his parents, Bob and Faye Ann Pearson of Grand Saline, Tx., James and Jannene Hashert of Eureka Springs, Ak., and his father and mother-in-law, John and Kate Fite of Lewisville, TX.  He is also survived by brothers, Danny Pearson and Jimmy Hashert and sister, Jana, Damiano and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

David was born June 15, 1958, in Grand Saline. He graduated from Grand Saline High School and attended Baylor University. Most of his working career was spent as a sales representative for Canon. His pleasure in working with his camera dealers and customers was evident to each of them. He counted his camera associates as special friends.  He was a faithful member and deacon at First Baptist Church, Lewisville, TX., where he used his photography skills in various ministries of the church. He also volunteered for a number of years as a chaperone at the church's children's camp.

Perhaps he will be missed most of all for his contagious good humor throughout his life. His strong spirit enabled him to make it through the past years of extreme treatments for cancer.  He would always express great appreciation for all the doctors and their personnel who cared for him at Baylor Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2009, at Old Hall Cemetery. A celebration of David's life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Worship Center of First Baptist Church of Lewisville. Officiating will be the pastor, Dr. Stephen G. Hatfield. Visitation will also be in the worship center on Sunday afternoon, July 12, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.  All arrangements will be under the direction of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
