David Louis Green, age 76, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026. David was born in Detroit, Michigan, and moved to Morton, Mississippi in early childhood, where he was raised and formed lifelong roots. He graduated from Morton High School in 1967 and soon after proudly answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. During his military service, David served overseas in Vietnam and Guam, experiences that shaped his discipline, resilience, and deep appreciation for life.After completing his service, David returned home determined to pursue higher education. He went on to graduate from the College of Pharmacy at Northeast Louisiana University, launching a professional career marked by dedication and integrity for over 5 decades.
David was known for his joyful spirit and warm presence. He had a lifelong love for travel and a special admiration for classic cars, finding happiness both in adventure and in appreciating the beauty of well-crafted machines. In his later years, his greatest joy came from time spent with his family, traveling with his wife Nicole and cheering on his grandsons at their activities. He was a constant source of encouragement, pride, and love.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Nicole Green; his daughters, Alycia “Nici” Finklea (David Finklea), Kelly Gibson (John Randall), and Arael Byrd (Christian Gecina); and his cherished grandsons, Logan Gibson, Joshua Finklea, and Graham Finklea; and sister-in-law Betty Green St. Amant and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Evelyn Green, and his brothers, John Green and Richard Green. David will rest at Biloxi National Cemetery. Interment services will be held at a later date.
He will be remembered for his service, his warmth, and his unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he shared so freely.
