David Troy Bristol, 66, passed away of natural causes at his residence on May 9, 2022 in Denton, Texas. He was born on April 11, 1956 in Houston, Texas to Troy Augustus Bristol and Matilda (Marek) Bristol.
David graduated from Pine Forest Senior High School, in Fayettville, North Carolina in 1974. After graduating he joined the United States Marine Corps in September of 1974. Where he was awarded Expert Rifle Badge, Sharp Shooter Pistol Badge and Good Conduct Medal. David was honorably discharged in 1978.
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he went on to trade school where he became a Detailed Engineer. He was currently working as an engineer at Telemon Communitions. On the weekends, David enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and spending time with his HOG group out of Corinth, Texas. He also loved golfing, fishing, watching sports and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
David is survived by his son Justin (Dayna) Bristol of Denton, TX, his daughters, Christi Bristol of Denton, TX and Candice Bristol of Columbia, TN. His grandchildren Broc David Alan Bristol, Annabel Lee Bristol Bruce and Bristol Ann Panting. His brother Greg (Cindy) Bristol and nephews Troy, Jared, Stephen and Craig Bristol.
David is preceded in death by his father, Troy Augustus Bristol, mother, Matilda (Marek) Bristol, and sister Kathryn Linda Bristol.
To know David was an honor. He was full of wisdom, guidance, and a heart that loved like no other. His humor brought so much laughter to our family and all that were around him. He was a loving and generous man who was dedicated to his family, his friends and career.
His memory will live on with all who knew him and will forever be loved and deeply missed.
A memorial service is to follow at 10:15 AM Friday, June 10, 2022 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX.
