Dava Lynn Irick Norris, 48, of Shady Shores, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born July 28, 1957 in Denton, to David Glen and Marjorie (Sturdevant) Irick. She was a graduate of Denton High School, Class of 1975 and attended TWU School of Nursing. She was employed by Imaginations Associates as an Administrative Assistant.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, February 27, 2006, at Gateway United Baptist Church, 2401 N. Bell Ave. Denton, TX. With Rev Buddy Owens, officiating. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home for visitation from 3 P.M. until 5 P.M. Sunday, February 26, 2006. Memorials may be made to the Dava L. Norris Family Trust in behalf of and for the welfare of her children, P. O. Box 1874 Denton, TX 76202.

Ms. Norris is survived by two sons, David E. Norris, and James M. (Sonny) Norris, and a foster son, Stephen Skodack, all of Shady Shores,. A step daughter, Amy Dogget, of Fort Worth, her mother Marjorie S. Irick, of Bedford, and a sister Wendolyn (Wendy) Yeakley, of Bedford, and a brother J. W. Irick, of Slidell.
