Darrell Scobee , 79, of Sanger Texas passed away on July 24th, 2026 at Presbyterian Hospital with his wife and family by his side.
Darrell was born on January 6st, 1947 to George and Nola Scobee. He graduated from Reeds Spring High School in Missouri. Upon graduation he served in the United States Navy on the USS Fort Snelling (LSD-30).
He married Lois (Wuanita) Taylor on June 27, 1970, at the Methodist Church in Kimberling City Missouri. They lived in Texas at his passing and was married 56 years.
He worked in construction (residential and commercial) in Missouri and Texas retiring in 2014. His company, D & L Construction, was professionally recognized for his structural engineering marvel in framing, stair and ceiling design.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, George and Nola Scobee, sister (Karen Hudson), and niece (Shawn Hudson).
He is survived by his wife, Lois; his son (Scott Scobee and wife Tiffany of Sanger, Tx), his daughter (Sherry Drinnon and husband David) of Katy, Tx; Grandchildren, Lexi Lyon (her husband Trace and son Evan), Allison Drinnon, Lindi Scobee, Anna Drinnon, Benjamin Drinnon, and Nathan Drinnon; Brothers Larry Scobee and wife Debbie, and Blaine Scobee and wife Lesa; Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and many friends.
Services will be at First Baptist Church, 1100 Malone St. Denton, Tx on Saturday, August 15th. Visitation is at 10:30 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to First Refuge in Denton, Habitat for Humanity or Blood Cancer United.
