Darlene Mary Ann Frank

Darlene Mary Ann (Kristofferson) Frank passed away peacefully in Dallas surrounded by family on Jan 10, 2026. She was a month shy of 92 years old.

Darlene was born February 23, 1934, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and moved with her family to San Francisco, California, in 1941. She and her husband, Joe moved to Denton, Texas, and eventually McKinney where they reared their children.

Darlene was a kind, happy lady who loved her family, fashion, antiques, bargain hunting and organic gardening. Many referred to her as a fashionista.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Frank of Denton, Texas; her parents, Walter and Leona Kristofferson; her daughters, JoAnn Frank and Diane Spurrier and Darlene’s siblings, Walter Kristofferson and Marlene Elrod.

She is survived by her children Joy (Wes) Wyrick of Miramar Beach, Florida, David Frank of Corpus Christi, Texas, Cathy Mattox of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jill Lanham of Bryan, Texas, and Christy (Bob) Winstead of Arkansas, along with eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Darlene was the sister of Donald (Florence) Kristofferson of San Mateo, California and Richard Kristofferson.

A private service will be held gravesite at Roselawn Memorial Park where she will be interred next to her husband Joe.
