Daniel Lee Brookmole, 73 of Krugerville, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. He was born July 23, 1941 in Dumas, TX to William J. and Dorothy (Henderson) Brookmole. He was a graduate of Dumas High School. He married Karen Minton in 1962 in Dumas. He retired from the Natural Gas Pipeline Co. in 1993. He was the owner and operator of Dan's Shoes in Dumas, Amarillo, and Lubbock and retired in 2004. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Krugerville and Chairman of Deacons.
Mr. Brookmole is survived by his wife Karen Brookmole of Krugerville, sons Kevin Lee Brookmole of Lewisville and Kyle Lynn Brookmole and wife Maria of Aubrey; step-mother Margie Brookmole of Dumas; brother Jerry Brookmole and wife Paula of Southmayd; niece Dianne Bergere and husband John of Allen; great-nieces Elizabeth and Kate; step-sisters Barbara Johnson, and Peggy Williams; step-brother Lester Sloan; and grandchildren Jordan Brookmole, Zachary Brookmole, and Morgan Brookmole.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Krugerville, with Rev. Sam Redfearn, officiating. Burial will follow in the Belew Cemetery.
