Dale Elwin Ensminger, age 82, of Argyle, Texas went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2025, at Harris Methodist Hospital while surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will take place at Denton Bible Church on January 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Dale was born in Dodge City, Kansas in 1943 to Howard and Marjorie Ensminger. He grew up in Dodge City with his older brother, Larry Ensminger. After graduating from Dodge City High School, Dale attended the University of Kansas where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Dale went on to be an accomplished electrical engineer for a major avionics company. He was a loving husband to his wife, Luci Ensminger, for 51 years, and they raised their two children in north Texas. In his free time, Dale enjoyed DIY projects, serving his family, and watching sports, especially Kansas Jayhawks basketball and Oklahoma Sooners football. He was a devout Christian and a long-time member of Denton Bible Church.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother. He is survived by his wife of Argyle, Texas; daughter, Kara Arnold, son-in-law, Matthew Arnold, and grandsons, Hudson Arnold and Lucas Arnold, of Argyle, Texas; and son, Derek Ensminger, daughter-in-law, Kitty Ensminger, and grandchildren, Will Ensminger, Abby Ensminger, and Link Ensminger, of Edmond, Oklahoma.
