Cynthia Ann Breland was born September 24, 1953 to Merlin Breland & Clara Fitzsimons Stanley Breland. The youngest of 5 children. She was born in New Orleans, LA where the family resided until she was 5 years old. They moved west to Lakewood, CA where her Father became ill & later died of Cancer making her Mother a widow & single parent.  Cynthia graduated from Lakewood High School Lakewood, CA. She also attended Lakewood City College studying Art & Computer Science. Responsibility to her family made the decision to leave college an easy one. She had learned to drive a Semi truck at 16 from her brother-in-law Richard Criss then chose it as an occupation when life demanded it. She drove cross country routes until meeting, falling in love & marrying Edward S Fitgerald. They together left the road for stable employment & to raise a family. Their marriage produced her surviving son E. Steven Fitzgerald.  She was employed at Orange County Transit Authority (formerly OCTD) where she worked for 15 years followed by various transportation companies.

She is predeceased by her: Father Merlin Joseph Breland Sr.; Mother Clara Fitzsimons Stanley Breland; brother Merlin Joseph Breland Jr.; sister Virginia Rose Criss.

She is survived by her Partner of 30 years Frances L. Hawes Denton,TX ; her son E. Steven Fitzgerald Lewisville, TX; a sister Sandra Boyle Strongsville,OH; a brother Terry Stanley Breland Sr. Brinnon, WA; Grandchildren: Faith Harris Graham,TX; Sierra & Seth Fitzgerald Lewisville,TX. Great Grandchildren: Alice Chavez Graham, TX & John Harris Graham, TX. Nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, family in every form who were blessed to have known her.
