BEDFORD---C. V. Jones, Jr., 90, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2009.

FUNERAL:  11:00 a.m. Monday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, Interment: DFW National Veterans Cemetery.  Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Travis Avenue Baptist Church-For the Children's Fund, 800 W. Berry Street, Fort Worth, TX  76110.

C. V. was born June 15, 1919, in Hickory Flat, Mississippi to Cyril Vernor and Mary Effie Jones.  He proudly served for 20 years and retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force.  After serving in the military he entered and graduated with a degree in Theology from Southwestern Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Over the many years of his faithful service, he worked with the Southern Baptist Home Mission Board doing pioneer mission work, the Southern Baptist Sunday School Board and Pastorates with several churches in Alabama, Tennessee, Illinois and Nebraska.

C. V. was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

SURVIVORS:  Sister, Juanita Horton; Sons: John Jones and wife, Lucille; Jim Jones; Tom Jones and wife Linda; Daughters: Jeanne Hargett; Judie Reding and husband, Eldon; Joanna Cloud; and June Jones; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
