Obituary
Columbus Ray Carter, 73, of Gordonville, TX passed away on May 6, 2012 in Whitesboro, TX He was born March 25, 1939 in Denton to Ted Ray and Verga May (Wilson) Carter. He was married to Norma Beavers on March 14, 1958 and she passed away on Sept. 11, 1990, then he married Barbara Ann Forester on July 10, 1998 in Denton. He was retired and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Carter is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Carter of Gordonville, sons Tony Ray Carter of Sanger, and Tye Wayne Carter of Haltom City, sister Nelda Wright of Ponder, and brothers Glenn Carter and Gene Carter both of Denton, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters Teresa and Tonia, and brothers, Thomas Wayne Carter and Earl Carter.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 12,2012 at Cooper Creek Cemetery on Sat5urday, with Rev. Randy Snow Officiating.
