Cody Joe Hendrix lost his battle with depression on November 27, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kristin, his daughters Mayson and Camdyn; parents Gary and Mary Hendrix, sister and brother-in-law Katie and Chris Ritchie, and their children Kyra Stuckmeyer , Matti Ritchie and Easton Ritchie; mother-in-law and father-in-law Deborah and David Neely; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Meghan and Robert Lenert and their children Hannah Lenert, Harper Lenert, Hadlee Lenert, and Bobby Lenert, the Estes family, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins, as well as many friends and students Cody has considered family.
Cody was born September 1, 1975, in Greenville TX. He was a 1994 graduate of Commerce High School and received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Texas A&M University-Commerce. His passion in life was education. He never met a stranger and his infectious smile and caring heart will leave a lasting legacy. He is at peace, forever loved, and will always be remembered.
A celebration of his life will be held this Sunday, December 4th, at 12:30 p.m. at
Faith United Methodist Church, 6060 Teasley Lane, Denton, Texas 76120.
