Clayton Sauls, 85, of Cross Roads, died on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at his home.    Mr. Sauls was born on October 1, 1932 in Green Valley to Doc and Anna Lois (Smith) Sauls. He was married to Virginia E. Upchurch on October 16, 1953 in Gainesville; she died on December 8, 2012. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated several car lots for over thirty years.
A visitation will be held from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Cooper Creek Cemetery, Denton. Rev. Sam Redfearn will officiate the service.
Clayton is survived by his son, Mike Sauls and his wife Renee' of Denton; grandsons, Christopher Trumbo, Jr., Anthony Pantel; great-granddaughter, Harlie Sauls. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael G. "Buddy" Sauls.
