Obituary

Clayton L. Byrom age 89 of Denton passed away Saturday September 12, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Navo Community on February 4, 1920 to James F. and Mary E. (Howell) Byrom. He married Anita McCormick March 15, 1941 in Krum, Texas. He was a retired  Electrician from General Dynamics after 42 years. He was a member of the Singing Oaks Church of Christ in Denton.

Clayton was a farmer, Master Gardner, Beekeeper, Fisherman, and loved to go camping.

He survived by two daughters, Janet Richardson of Sanger and Charlotte Riney of Denton. Two sons Charles Clayton Byrom of  Sanger and David Lewis Byrom of Bedford.14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren and  numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Tuesday September 15, 2009 at the Singing Oaks Church of Christ in Denton. Burial will be at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas.

Visitation will be 7 to 8:30 pm Monday September 14, 2009 at Mulkey-Mason Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandson-in-laws will e honorary pallbearers.

Clayton was preceded in death by his wife Anita, parents, 4 brothers, 6 sisters.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Singing Oaks Church of Christ Food Pantry 101 Cardinal Denton, Texas 76209.
