Clara Marie Smith, 76, of Denton, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.
Mrs. Smith was born on August 9, 1939 in Beaumont, TX to William Alfonso and Clara Mae (Tupin) McNeil. She was married to Michael D. Smith on February 4, 1982 in Denton; he died on July 15, 2007. She was a member of Pilgrim Way Baptist Church in Sanger and was a retired supervisor at the Denton State Supported Living Center.
She is survived by her daughters, Beth Works and her husband Anthony of Denton, Theresa Salter and her husband Roger of Milsap, Kathy Kobylenski and husband Joe Respicio of Norman, OK; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; son-in-law, David Hellums. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Hellums.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday December 23, 2015 in the chapel at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. Interment will follow at Sanger Cemetery.
