IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Chris Allen Dotson
03/12/1965-03/11/2024
Chris believed in a simple life and finding joy in all the peaceful moments. Whether it was teaching his kids to fish, taking the family camping, or just being outside, he loved to share and create memories with his wife and kids. His longing for a simple life came for his desire for touch of heaven on earth. His love and passion for Jesus Christ touched not only his family but those around him. Chris walked every day in the faithfulness of God and found peace at the feet of Jesus.
Chris was a graduate of Denton High School and a graduate of Advanced Technical Institute in auto-CAD. After years of hard work in various fields, Chris decided to chase his dream and start his own business, Dotson Drafting and Design. Chris enjoyed owning and operating his business for 22 years. He was passionate about loving the work he did, and he felt that your career should never feel like a job. Dotson Drafting and Design reflected his passion for helping his customer's dream home become a reality. His drive was to inspire his family to set goals that seem out of reach. To trust God and leap.
Chris and Jan's family home, D6 Farms, was built and designed by Chris. He and his wife, Jan, raised their kids in a Christ centered home, where mornings were spent listening to Ricky Skaggs or We The Kingdom loudly! After 18 years they decided that this sweet home with lots of memories should bless another family. It was time for more dreaming, living and traveling. Chris patiently waited on God's timing on the sale of D6Farms, Sanger edition.
Chris and Jan both shared a passion for traveling the world in their RV with their two dogs. After many prayers were answered, his biggest and longest dream was accomplished 4 weeks ago when they sold their home and purchased a Montana 5th wheel, named Joy; and a 2500 Duramax Chevy, named White Thunder, to start their traveling adventures.
Chris lived an adventurous, full but simple life with his wife and children and will be missed by so many families and friends. We will forever carry his memory in our hearts and our fishing poles.
