Dr. Chittaranjan Debata, MBBS, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014.
Chittaranjan was born May 30, 1960 in Orissa, India, where he completed his education and received his medical degree. In 1995, he married Sujata Gupta Debata and emigrated to the United States. He worked as a researcher at the Louisiana State Health Sciences Center.
Visitation was held at 3:00 pm, on Monday, February 24, 2014. He will be cremated according to his wishes. Services will be held this Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 9:00 AM, at the DFW Hindu Temple, 1605 N. Britian Road, Irving, Texas.
Preceded in death by his father, Gokulanand; Chittaranjan is survived by his wife, Sujuta; his mother, Girija; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, and his nephews and nieces. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
