Cheryl Pena would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call with an offer she could not refuse for an appointment from which she will not be returning. She will be joining her parents Jesse and Ruth Payne, sister Monica Payne, brother Daniel Payne and niece Heather Payne-Fouts. She was 69.

She paves the way for two daughters Kristi and Kateena Pena and Melissa McGee, granddaughters Jessi and Karsyn Pena, sister Patience Sparks, brother Dennis Payne and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cheryl was born in Watertown, New York on July 29, 1948. She began her nursing career in Watertown at the age of 18 and continued for 49 years taking care of people of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. She had moved to Denton in 1977. Upon retirement she enjoyed reading, painting with Bob Ross and playing the slots.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Mound Cemetery, Argyle. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
