Charles David Zikowsky, 60, also known as Tioga Charlie, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, April 3 ^rd .

Charlie had tremendous passion and respect and was a tireless advocate for the military, law enforcement, first responders, fire departments and veterans.

He was a proud member of the American Legion Riders and the Patriot Guard Riders and was a graduate of Keller High School. In his 8 years with the Patriot Guard Riders, he participated in over 400 missions/funerals, fundraisers, deployments. He also loved volunteering for the Snowball Express which honors our Gold Star Families who have lost military members.

He was a long-time supporter of the Medal of Honor Host Program in Gainesville, Texas and felt very privileged to meet 52 Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. He loved the United States of America, riding his motorcycle, playing his guitar and playing with his little buddy, Chopper, who was his devoted Yorkie.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Zikowsky. He is survived by his mother, Thelma Joan Zikowsky, his brothers Tim and Chester Zikowsky, his sister Mary Griffin and her husband Greg, and many other family members.

There will be a funeral service at Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Tioga on Saturday, April 25 ^th at 1pm. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, only a few members that can attend and that will be saved for the family. It will be streamed on Facebook Live on the Mt Carmel Baptist Church – Tioga TX page.

There will also be a short graveside ceremony immediately following the funeral at Tioga Cemetery in Tioga, TX for all who would like to attend and pay your respects adhering to the 6-foot social distancing guidelines.
