Charles Dana Snyder, 74, of Denton, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at his home.  He was born November 18, 1934 in Hazard, Kentucky to Fred and Elsie (Gillum) Snyder.  He was married to Marilou Staggs Snyder on August 29, 1958 in Big Spring, Texas.  He was a veteran of the Air Force, having served 10 years.  He was a retired American Airlines Captain, retiring December 1, 1994.  He was a member of Southmont Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 22, 2009 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX.   Memorials may be made to Ann's Haven Hospice, VNA, 501 S. Carroll Blvd,  Suite #201,  Denton, TX 76201.  Interment will be in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Mr. Snyder is survived by his wife, Marilou Snyder of Denton; daughters, Cindy Davis and husband Mark of Dallas, TX,  Cheryl Hassell and husband Bob of Keller, TX; and son Keith Snyder and wife Brenda of Garland, TX; a brother, O. G. Snyder and wife Desre of Hurst, TX and seven grandchildren.
