The Reverend Charles Oliver "Ollie" McKeithen, aged 80, of Denton, Texas; formerly of Brandon, Mississippi passed away on March 10th, 2018. He was born September 20th, 1937 in Lauderdale, MS to William Everett McKeithen and Opal Holifield McKeithen. He married Betty Sawyer on February 2nd, 1974. He served in the US Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. He retired as a Master Auto Mechanic and Lay Preacher. He was a Carpenter, Certified Welder, Certified Machinist, Certified Accountant, Truck Driver, and a Master Technician in Automotive and Diesel. His passions were mechanics, antique cars and classic muscle cars, western movies, gospel music, making and collecting knives; but most of all, being with the love of his life, Betty. Charles was always known as a loving and generous man, demonstrating loyalty and a father's heart. A small memorial for family and friends was held for him in Denton at his son Jack's home on March 11th, 2018, led by the Rev. Jimmy Mangrum from McCool, MS, with a special reading by Jill Ziemski from Jericho, Vermont.
Charles is survived by his wife, Betty McKeithen; son, Charles McKeithen, Jr; daughters, Lisa McKeithen, Lyn McKeithen, and Teresa Mock; stepsons, Jon Ruff and Jack Ruff, Jr.; step daughter, Rhonda Rushing; brothers, James, Bill, and Ken McKeithen; grandchildren, Samuel McKeithen and C.J., Trace, and Karlie Mock; step grandchildren, Josh and Ben Saari, Casey Mock, Ricky Shane and Christa Rushing; Deanna and Hannah Ruff, Jennifer, Gloria, and Benjamin Kennard; great-grandchildren, Addison and Amelia Mock; and step great-grandchildren, Elijah and Jordan Boggs.
