CHARLES WILLIAM JONES

Charles William Jones, 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at his home in Corinth, Texas, with family by his side. Charles was born on May 18, 1939 to Eric and Lydia Jones in Bangor, North Wales. After moving to Chester, England as a young boy, he completed a City and Guild's master painting apprenticeship. In 1978 Charles and his family immigrated to the United States, settling in Newbury Park, California, where he continued his career in painting for many years as a licensed contractor. He later joined forces with his son Tim, and retired in Corinth, Texas, to be close to his family.
Charles was such an easy-going, happy-go-lucky guy with a dry sense of humor. Everyone who met him fell instantly in love with him. There are no words that could begin to describe our great sense of loss and how much we will all miss him.
He is survived by Margaret, his loving wife of 51 years, his daughter Susan and son-in-law Andrew, grandchildren Jake, Abbey, Seth and Evan, daughter-in-law Susie, and many wonderful family and friends scattered throughout England, Wales, California and Texas. Charles was preceded in death by his loving son Tim, parents Eric and Lydia and brothers Bryan and Wynne.
Charles, you will always be in out hearts. I love you, Dad.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Charles Jones will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 16, 2011 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, Texas.
