Charles H. (Chuck) Phelps, age 59, of Corinth, passed away Wednesday,
October 4, 2006, in Dallas.

He was born January 14, 1947 in Johnson County, Texas to Willie Edward and Mattie Mae Codgill Phelps. Chuck married his wife Lynette on March 19, 1974 in Abilene. He served in both the United States Army and the United States Air Force. Chuck was a member of Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville and worked as a golf course construction manager.

He is survived by his wife, Lynette; son, Charles Christopher Phelps and wife, Meredith, daughters, Ashley Lynee' Phelps and Laurie; sisters, Lucille Berryman, Georgia Forest and Rosalee Woods, brother, John Phelps and several grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2006, at Lakeland Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Round Grove Cemetery. Dr. Ben Smith will officiate the service.
