Obituary

Charles Glen \"Bob\" Burns, 88, of Denton, died Saturday November 20, 2004 at Denton Community Hospital.

Mr. Burns was born January 4, 1916 in Loco, OK to Charles Walter and Hattie (Tharpe) Burns. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was married to Cornelia Page on June 27, 1936 in Duncan, OK, (she died on November 1, 2002). He was a salesman for Babcock Brothers for many years. He was Church of Christ and a fifty year member of the Stanfield Masonic Lodge #217 as well as the Scottish Rite and Moslah Temple Shrine.

A Masonic graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday November 23, 2004 at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include his two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Gordon McCarthy of Carrollton, Carla and Thomas K. Murrell of Carrollton; sister, Ila Salmon of Denton; two grandchildren, Jennifer McCarthy and Kevin McCarthy.
