Charlene Fay "Puggie" Nichol

Charlene Fay "Puggie" Nichol, 77, lifetime resident of Denton was born September 1, 1939 in Denton to James and Sarah Aline Hunsucker Hilger and passed away on July 22, 2017.  She married William E. "Butch" Nichol on November 26, 1977.  She retired from GTE in 1991 with 31 years of service.

She was a loving wife, sister and aunt who loved spending time with her family, crocheting and camping with her husband.

She is survived by her husband Butch, her brothers Charles "Butch" and Jan Hilger of Ravenna, TX and Kenneth G. and Jan of Denton and her nieces and nephews "her children"; Cheryl (Ron) Jordan of Sanger, Shane (Shonna) Hilger of Celeste, Gayla (David) Ford of Denton, Dawn (Todd) Hubbard of Ravenna, Mark (Janet) Hilger of Flower Mound and Kristin Rogriquez of Denton, 16 great grand nieces and nephews and 18 great great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister Marlene Hilger.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at 10:00am in the Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home Chapel, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Lewis Coomer officiating, with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. A visitation will take place from6-8 pm on Monday evening at the funeral home.
