Charlene Keefer, 71, of Krum, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.  She was born February 8, 1938 in Gainesville, TX   She attended Public Schools and was a member of the Baptist Church.  She was the longtime Sexton/Secretary of the Jackson Cemetery in Krum.  She was married to David Paul Keefer in Ardmore, OK on January 9, 1979.

A funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2009 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX  with Max Bellar, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Krum Jackson Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home on Friday, July 17, 2009 for visitation.

Mrs. Keefer is survived by her husband David Paul Keefer, of Krum,  daughters, Len Hott, of Denton,  Anna Beth Mizell, of Aubrey, Paulette Keefer, of Lancaster,  sons,  Eddie Cofer, of Denton, Louie Cofer, of Trenton,  and Bobby Cofer, of Denton,  three sisters,  Edith o'Neal, of Malvern, AR  Betty Swain, of Ashdown, AR and Joyce Bellar, of Denton,  Fourteen Grandchildren and Eleven Great Grandchildren,  and many extended family members and other friends.  She was preceded in death by her Mother, two Brothers, and a Sister.
