Charlene Christian passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the age of 93.

Charlene was born on August 13, 1931 to OL Parish and Lillie Hardin Parish in Ballinger, Texas. She graduated from Ballinger High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from Baylor University and a Master's degree in Library Science from North Texas State University. She married Robert Christian in 1953. Robert preceded her in death on September 1, 1976 in Denton Texas.

Charlene worked as a librarian at both Winters High School in Winters Texas and Newton Razor Elementary School in Denton Texas. She also worked in the law library for Jones Day Law Firm in Dallas Texas, after retiring from the school district.

Charlene is survived by 2 sons, Kris and Kevin Christian, 3 grandchildren, Chad, Krista and Kyle, as well as 5 great grandchildren, Jacqueline, Luke, Rosie Mae, Beckham and Lawrence.

There will be a viewing from 11am to 12 noon on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home in Denton Texas, followed by a graveside service at 2PM at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
