Celia Claudine Jamison Sankey, 88, a resident of the Vintage since 2002, died Friday, February 8, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. She was born January 17, 1920 in Prosper, Texas to Alonzo W. Sr. and Cecil (Wells) Jamison, and moved to Denton with the family in 1932. She was a graduate of Denton High School, Bachelor of Art TSCW (TWU) and Masters of Art University of Iowa, 1944. She was a member of the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, and was a retired Instructor of Art from TSCW (TWU) She was married to Clifford H. Sankey on November 10, 1945 in Denton, he died September 2, 1984.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton,. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date..

Mrs. Sankey is survived by her brother and sister in law, Alonzo W. and Elizabeth Jamison, of Denton.
