Obituary

C. C. Thorne, age 86, of Highland Village, passed away Monday, November 19, 2007, at his residence.

He was born August 2, 1921 in Wayne County, Tennessee to Jesse Charles and Mattie Jimmie Taylor Thorne. C.C. served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Rose Perry on November 28, 1945 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. C.C. was a member of West Main Church of Christ in Lewisville and was a former member of the Lewisville Lion's Club. He was formerly active in Lewisville Little League Baseball and worked in automobile sales.

C.C. is survived by his loving family, wife, Rose; daughters, Patsy Tillery and husband, David and Carolyn Embree and husband, Gary; son, Clay Thorne and wife, Melisa; grandchildren, Scott Tillery and wife, Cheryl, Bart Tillery and wife, Jeana, Susan Tillery, Amy Pickard and husband, Drew, Abby Allison and husband, Chance, Arden Thorne and

Blaire Thorne; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Farmer and husband, Fred and brother, Dale Thorne and wife, Charlene. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Jessie and Ruby and by 5 brothers, Carl, William, Harold, Buelos and Paul.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at West Main Church of Christ, 950 W. Main St., Lewisville, Texas. Interment will follow at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. Robert Archer and Jeff Jenkins will officiate the service. The family requests memorial contributions made to Medina Children's Home, 6776 Ingram Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 or the National Kidney Foundation or American Cancer Society. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville is in charge of arrangements.
