Cathy Marie Shepherd

Cathy Marie Shepherd, 65, passed away at home in Flower Mound on September 27, 2024. She was born in Chicago, Il. to Josephine Segnitz and Alfred Torres.

Cathy was always an artist. From teaching aerobics, to fashion design, to becoming a renowned glass artist she loved being creative. She followed her passion from day one and her enthusiasm for life was infectious. This enthusiasm was evident by her smile, love for her friends, family, dogs, and others etc.  and their love for her. She will always be known as CB by her friends.

Cathy met her husband Tom in October 1993 and were married in April 1994. They were the love of each other's lives for over 30 years. They enjoyed raising their sons in the travel baseball world, sharing family at home, travelling to places like Fiji, French Polynesia, Africa, Italy, Peru, Cabo, etc. Many of these travel experiences provided her inspiration for her beautiful glass art. One of the things that made her the most happy about these travels however were all the new close friends that she made while in those places. They were drawn to her from the time of first meeting her.

Her best traits however were always her smile, being a devout Christian, her love for Christ, loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend to many, and her infectious love for life.

Cathy is survived by her husband Tom Shepherd, sons Tant Shepherd (wife Taylor), Syler Shepherd, sister Yvonne Davis (Jeff), mother Jo Beaumont, brother Lance Beaumont, and 3 grandchildren Carson Carmen, Tatum Shepherd, and Christian Shepherd, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will be as follows:Visitation will begin at 10:00am until the service starts at 10:30am Thursday, October 3, 2024 Denton Bible Church (Chapel) 2300 East University Drive, Denton TX. 76209. Burial will be immediately afterwards at Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton TX.
