Cathy passed away on June 4, 2024, at her home. She is the daughter of the late James and Connie Matlock of Denton Texas. Cathy was a homemaker and spouse of the late Wesley Barton and lived in Denton, Texas with him for approximately 25 years.

There was a small family Celebration of Life for Cathy at her gravesite, in Roselawn Memorial Park shortly after her passing, where Cathy now rests next to her Love Wesley, parents, and twin brother, Mark.

Cathy is survived by her sweet dog Sara, sister Linda Ladd-Roberts and sister's husband Jerry Roberts of Sugar Hill, Georgia, brother Micheal Matlock of Denton, daughters Candace of Miami Florida, Jamie and her husband Mark Weaver of Palm Bay, Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren Diamond of Cocoa, Florida and Navada and her husband Deonta Hinson of Cocoa Florida, as well as her great grandchildren Elijah, Loni and A'Mirah.

Cathy is dearly missed by her family and friends, who would all love to hear about the memories you shared with Cathy, and sentiments.
