Catherine (Katy) Marie Tyler, 78, passed away peacefully Tuesday April 17, 2018 at her home in Krum, Texas. She was born November 14, 1939 in Hazleton, PA. She married Wesley Tyler on October 15, 1966 and was a loving wife until her death. She was a devoted and caring mother to her two children, Kathy Tyler Brooks and her husband Brian of Denton and Wesley Tyler Jr. of Krum. She was a grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren and great-grandmother to two wonderful great-grandchildren.

She retired as a well-respected nurse with Denton Regional Medical Hospital and the Denton State School. Her dedication to family and duty to her patients defined her as a great person. She was a devoted Christian and a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday April 23, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Oak St. in Denton with Rev. Lisa Patterson and Dr. Richard Culp officiating. Burial will follow in the Sanger Cemetery. A Visitation will take place at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., on Sunday April 22, 2018 from 2-4 p.m.
