Catherine "Cathy" Elizabeth Gresham, 57, of Krum, Texas passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at her home in Krum after battling breast cancer.
Cathy was born on June 1, 1960 in Evergreen Park, Illinois to Michael and Mary (Gallagher) Cunningham. She grew up in Palatine, IL and graduated from William Fremd High School in 1978. She worked for many years as a Mental Health Court Supervisor for Denton County. She married Freddy Gresham on May 17, 2003 in Denton.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Freddy Gresham of Krum; daughter, Dr. Kim Hastings and her husband Ben of Edmond, OK; son, Kyle Wiechmann and his wife Cathy of McKinney; grandson, Thomas Wiechmann; father, Michael Cunningham and Trudy Larmon of Venice, FL; step-daughter Chasity Jennings of Poteau, OK; step-granddaughter Ariel Tillison of Denton; step-great granddaughter Saylor Watkins; step-daughter, Amanda Gresham Keifer of Eagle, MI; step grandchildren Adam, Miles, and Lana Keifer.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Cunningham.
Cathy adored spending time with friends and family, especially playing with her grandchildren Thomas and Saylor.  Her family also included many pets through the years. Most recently these four legged friends included Rowdy, Taylor and Milo. She was a fan of home improvement shows and ideas. She enjoyed her lovely flower beds and plants in the spring while also decorating the house throughout the year. She also took pleasure in competing in and winning Chili Cook-Offs at various competitions in the area.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 16, 2018 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. The chapel will be open at 9:30 AM for family and friends to gather and share memories and stories ahead of the memorial.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in the name of Cathy Gresham to the American Cancer Society.
