Catherine Bernice Corder
Catherine left this earthly world on Thursday, February 26th, 2009. She was born at home in Springtown, TX on January 8, 1931. In 1948 at Tech High School in Fort Worth, she spilled powder on a classmates' desk and thus began a lifelong friendship and marriage which spanned more than sixty years. She made Fort Worth home base but followed her husbands sales career throughout the Southwest. In 1965 she settled back in Arlington. As a young women in the 1950's she was a "crackerjack" executive secretary on a manual typewriter she typed like the wind and never made mistakes. After raising her two daughters, she returned to work in the 1980's. She worked for K. Flories Antiques in Fort Worth making many friendships. She had resided in Denton for the last twelve years. Mother has been ill for some time and as her family, we would like to express our gratitude to the skilled and compassionate care given to her by the medical community in Denton. Extra thanks to Dr. Bhatt, Kathleen and Senior Care, Texas Cancer Center, Dr. Jain and Key.
She is survived by her husband, Neel Corder; daughters, Debbie (Mike) Corpany and Kay (Robert) Peters; her beloved granddaughter, Ashley and grandsons, Ben and Travis; great grandsons, Kieran and Kaden and their father, Dhramen Singh; her brother and wife, Mitchell and Bonita Woods of Boyd and many extended family. She was preceded in death by parents, two brothers and a sister.
Catherine will always be remembered as a gracious, stylish, "Classy" lady with a quiet manner and dry sense of humor.
There will be no service, but in her memory donations can be made to any animal welfare organization of your choice.
