Casper Joseph Carter, 18, of Denton, died Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at his home in Denton.

Mr. Carter was born on January 8, 2004 in Humble, TX to Joseph M. Carter and Tara Claire (Ostensen) Croft. He graduated from Saginaw High School and worked as an assistant manager at Jersey Mike's.

Casper is survived by his parents, Joseph M. Carter of Denton; Tara C. Croft and Ian R. Croft (stepfather) of Fort Worth; grandparents, Mary Carter of Denton, Jim and Chris Fairchild of Fort Worth, Robert Ostensen (Laurey) of Mobile, AL, Joan and Evan Croft of West Barnstable, MA; siblings, Clayton Robert Carter of Fort Worth, Ian G. Croft of Fort Worth, Evan Croft of Fort Worth; uncles and aunt, Michael Carter (Penny) of Denton, Corey Fairchild of Madrid, Spain, Nicole Doyle of Orlando, FL, Tara S. Croft (John) of New York City, NY, Garth Croft of Tonawanda, NY.

In his short life, Casper experienced generations of family, traveling the country, adventures, victories, and falling in love. He never missed a chance to be part of a family event. He was an older brother to three boys and protected Clayton. He was athletically versatile and involved in baseball, wrestling, weightlifting, and as a football player on the offensive line he never had a false start or holding call. Casper was strong willed, independent, and dedicated to hard work. He graduated high school early and has earned multiple raises and promotions at work. He loved his friends and adored his car. Casper is loved fiercely by his family and friends. He will remain a bright light in our lives and will always live in our hearts.

A viewing will be held at 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00pm on Monday, October 3, 2022 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton.
