Carol Sue Wilson, 75 of Denton, passed away on March 24, 2015 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. She was born March 1, 1940 in Detroit, MI to Mauylee Daniel and Madeloyn Grace Waterman. She was a graduate of Reagan High School in Houston and Lillie Jolly School of Nursing, also in Houston. She was married to Joseph Byrd Wilson Jr. February 3, 1963 in Houston, and he passed away on December 30, 1999. She was employed as a Registered Nurse with the Denton County Health Department. She is a member of the Sanger Church of Christ.
Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her husband Joseph and daughters Diana Glover and Sheri Plankey. She is survived by two sons Dan Wilson and wife Cathy of Haslett, Jeff Wilson and wife Tamara of Sanger; niece, Brenda Ward of Nederland, sons in law Gary Glover of Denton and David Plankey of New Fairview, grandchildren Rachel Hartzler, Jeremy Plankey, Caleb Plankey, Garrett Wilson, Tanner Wilson, Abbie Wilson, Alex Glover, Madison Glover, Megan Wilson, and Eli Wilson; great-grandchild Michael David Hartzler.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton followed by a funeral service at 2 P.M. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Sanger Church of Christ with John Payne, officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
