Carol Lea Chapman, 70, of Krum, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Denton Regional Medical Center. Carol was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Everyone knew her to be a caring, loving soul; always acting selfless and putting others first.
Mrs. Chapman was born on August 17, 1944 in Krum to Jack Hayes Cofer, Sr. and Ethel Mae (Inman) Cofer. She was married to Thomas Chapman on August 30, 1962 in Krum. She graduated from Krum High School and attended the University of North Texas. She was a member of the Krum Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Chapman; daughters, Tonya Chapman of Krum, Erica Cooley of Krum; son Robert Chapman of Krum; sisters, Wanda Coffey of Fort Worth, Bess Enis of Krum; brother, Jack Hayes Cofer, Jr. of Abilene, Christopher Edward Cofer of Krum; grandchildren, Madison Paige, Evan Wesley, Ethan Thomas.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, June 5, 2015 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2015 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery, Krum, TX.
