Carl Walter Sorensen

Carl Sorensen passed away peacefully on April19,2023 with his sister and brother-in-law lovingly by his side.

Carl was born on June 10, 1953 in New York City to parents Lois and Walter Sorensen.

After having grown up on Long Island, New York and living in various places across the country, he settled in Krum, Texas. He found a fulfilling career in Facilities management at Texas Women's University from which he retired in 2019.

He leaves behind his sister, Christine Marion and brother-in-law Michael Marion, brother Peter Sorensen and sister-in-law Rikki Sorensen from Iowa. He was a beloved uncle to nieces Sarah, Malaika, Rachel, and nephew Karl and had the pleasure of being great-uncle (aka Gruncle) to Soren, Hadrian, and Bella. Known for his scrumptious apple pies, he enjoyed spending time with family and could always elevate a conversation with his good sense of humor. He was well-respected, appreciated, and will be fondly remembered by friends, family, and colleagues for his wide knowledge, friendliness, and diligent work ethic.

There will be a Celebration of his Life in May when family and friends can all attend.
