Buster James Vaughn, 79, was born May 8, 1942 in Denton to David Lee Vaughn and Bonnie Mae (Fowler) Vaughn. Buster died on August 1, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. He leaves a companion, Kay Roberts; two sons, James Vaughn and wife Teri of Little Rock, AR, James Long and wife Tiffany of OK; two daughters, Mary Nosal of Little Rock, AR, Virginia Graves and husband Phil of Gainesville; two stepdaughters, Beverly Grozier and husband Jimmy of Krum, Cathy Roberts and companion Rick McKinney of Whitesboro; sister, Joyce Parris of Rockport; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, David Vaughn, brother, David Dale Vaughn, sister, Virginia Fowler.

A visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Corinth Shiloh Cemetery.
