Bruce Allan Hirschi went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the age of 77. Bruce was born on October 1, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Bruce served as a military MP in Germany for three years and then served as a police officer in Guthrie, Oklahoma for 10 years. In the early 1970's Bruce and his family moved to Grapevine, Texas and he served as a police officer, then in the mid 1970's moved and settled down in Sanger, Texas and was a police officer at TWU. Bruce started a side business at home selling plants to local florist and then retired. Bruce and Carolyn are members of the First Baptist Church in Sanger, Texas. Bruce loved the Lord, his church and family and will be remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Maudie Burns Hirschi and father, William T. Hirschi and sister, Barbara Hirschi Hayes. Bruce is survived by his sister, Emily Hirschi Moad of Guthrie, Oklahoma; his loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn Sue Faulkner Hirschi; four children, Carol Pelzel, and her husband Randal Pelzel; Scott Hirschi; William Hirschi and his wife Barbie Hirschi; and Robert Hirschi. Also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, Texas 76201.
