Bruce Eugene Briggs, 76 of Denton, died Tuesday of a sudden heart attack, April 3, 2006 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. He was born February 5, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to Sheldon Leroy and Dorothy Sadler (Wise) Briggs. He was married to Margaret Charlene Neds in Worthington, Ohio, August 30, 1953.He served in the Korean war as a Pilot. He was a graduate of Ohio State University, and was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. He was retired from American Airlines where he was a Pilot. He attended the Denton Bible Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 6, 2007 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev.Jim Hill, officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie Mound Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 5, 2007. Mr. Briggs is survived by his wife of Denton, three sons, Gordon Briggs, of Denton, Jeffrey Briggs and Paul Briggs, of Dallas, and a sister Mary Virginia Gordon, of Wilmington, Del. And four Grandchildren.
