Brian Kavanagh, age 51 of The Colony, Texas, passed away, March 8, 2010. He was born September 1, 1958 in Memphis, TN to Cyril Augustine and Bettye Kavanagh. He and Amy Clark married on February 5, 1981 in Tishomingo, OK. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He grew up in Richardson, TX and in 1984 he and Amy moved to The Colony to start a family. He was Pit Dad for TCHS band and loved it.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Amy Kavanagh; sons, Sean Kavanagh and Brice Kavanagh both of Denton, TX; sisters, Kathleen Schooly(Phil) of Hope, AR, Sharon Clarke(Jim Edd) of Longmont, CO, Erin Kavanagh of Richardson, TX, Kelly Patton(Neale) of Richardson, Eileen Stanbury(David) of Garland, TX; brothers, Michael Kavanagh of Frisco, Patrick(Donnie Lee) of Lavon, TX and Kevin Joseph Kavanagh of Richardson; uncle, Joe Kavanagh (Mim) of Carrollton, TX; aunt, Anne Sain of TN; brother-in-law, John Lee of Mansfield, and a number of "Adopted Sons." He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Collen Lee and a brother, Sean Kavanagh. He loved you all so much. Pease honor his memory by living your lives as he did, with truth and integrity.
A private memorial service will be held, Friday March 12, 2010 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville, followed by an Irish wake at 2 p.m. for friends and family. In leiu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brian Kavanagh Memorial Fund through any Wells Fargo Bank.
