Brenda Kay (Taylor) Medina, mom, nana, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away
peacefully at home October 21, 2022 at the age of 63. Brenda was born on January
27th, 1959 to Joe and Billie Louise Taylor in Denton, Texas. She attended Denton High
School and was a longtime employee of Kroger until she retired after decades of
service. Brenda loved loving others. A mother of 5 biological children, but was a
mother figure and place of comfort for many, many more. A woman full of love,
laughter, and compassion, she was a light to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Brenda is survived by her children Brendee Olmsted and her husband David. Christina
Medina, Cassandra Medina and Dennis Jackson, Joey and Megan Medina, and
Meghan Yount, eight grandchildren, Samantha, Triniti, Elyssa, Kyndall, Cole,
Reed, Ali, and Vallen, her mother Billie Louise Taylor, and her siblings Vernon Fain,
Rebecca and Mark Nelson, and Shelia and Troy Wallace. She also leaves behind an
extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Mike Yount. her brother Dale Fain, and her
father Joe Taylor.
