Brenda Joyce Kubicek, 68, of Denton, died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.
Mrs. Kubicek was born on December 12, 1946 in Denton to George Alec and Nina (Mitchell) Bishop. She was married to Frank Henry Kubicek, Jr. on September 5, 1970 in Denton, Frank died on January 1, 1998. She loved to quilt and shape ceramics; in fact she and Frank sold ceramics and pottery to many local florists and shops. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alvord.
Brenda is survived by her daughter, Tina Kubicek of Denton; sister, Barbara Monk of Krugerville; brother, George Bishop of Denton; nieces and nephews, Jim Monk, Jay Monk, Jessica McCullough, Todd Bishop, Shelby Kinsell, great nieces and nephews, Addison McCullough, Ronan McCullough, Ryan Bishop.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the funeral home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Interment will be at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in Pilot Point.
