Bobbie Jean (Endicott) Trietsch, 84, of Sanger, went home to be with her Savior on Saturday, January 23, 2021.
Mrs. Trietsch was born on March 7, 1936 in Houston to Jack Ernest and Mattie Annetta "Nettie" (Freeman) Endicott. She spoke often of her family time growing up in Bellaire and of her beloved little yellow dog named Cheesie. She graduated in 1953 from San Jacinto High School in Houston and attended TWU and UNT. She was married to Theodore "Ted" E. Trietsch on March 3, 1956 in Gainesville; he died on June 7, 1984. She became a devoted wife and mother spending hours after a full day's work helping on the farm and sewing, crocheting, canning and cooking for her family. Bobbie was very active in church at Blue Mound United Methodist. She was a lay preacher, sang in the choir, active in Bible study and volunteered in the Kairos Prison Ministry for twenty years. Bobbie could do just about anything and excelled at several jobs including being a receptionist and accounting clerk at the Denton State School for eight years, secretary at the TWU chemistry department for nine years, secretary at Denton High School for twenty-three years, where she also volunteered at DHS sporting events and for many school programs as chaperone. She decided she was not ready to retire after DHS, so took a job as receptionist at Union Camp for two years, receptionist for Russell Newman for nine years and worked as a concierge and safe deposit attendant for DATCU before retiring a second time.
Bobbie is survived by her daughters, Patricia "Patti" Lenette Trietsch Temple of Denton, Karen Ann Reynolds and her husband Sam of Sanger; sons, Michael Edward Trietsch of Sanger, Timothy Gene Trietsch and his wife Martha of Sanger; sixteen grandchildren, Michael Anne Mahoney and her husband Todd, Walter Trietsch and his wife Charlette, TJ Trietsch and his wife Amy, Veleta Olpin and her husband Kasey, Alyson Lozada and her husband Victor, Conner Temple and his wife Katie, Teddy Reynolds, Jason Reynolds and his wife Sarah, Jennifer Reynolds; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Mary E. Groves, Jack E. Endicott, Jr., John E. Endicott.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 29, 2021 at Blue Mound United Methodist Church, 8421 North I-35, Denton, TX 76207. Interment will follow at Gribble Springs Cemetery, Sanger. Memorial donations may be made to the Blue Mound United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
