Obituary

William L. 'Billy' Thomas, age 72, of Lewisville, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2006, in Dallas of injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

He was born January 21, 1934 in Hebron, Texas to Louis L. and Martha J. Wallace Thomas. Billy married his wife Bobbie on March 31, 1967 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He retired from the United States Army as Lieutenant Colonel and was a lifetime member of Military Officers Association of America. Billy was a member of First Baptist Church of Lewisville. He was a member of the Purple Martin Society and loved to ride his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie; daughter, Debora Gay Williams and husband, J.D. Horn of Canyon Lake, Texas; sons, Charles Lynn Roach and wife, Nixie of Midlothian, Texas and Tommy Wayne Roach of Kemp, Texas; three grandchildren and numerous cousins and extended family.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville with military honors. Reverend Kenneth Wells will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.
